German, American and Oriental cockroaches remain constant nuisances in the Pacific Northwest region. Though not as reliant on outdoor weather conditions compared to southern states, German cockroaches enjoy favorable conditions indoors all year round, while American and Oriental cockroaches commonly invade basements, crawlspace areas, drains, and commercial buildings in the Portland vicinity.

Common House Spiders


The black widow, yellow sac spider, and giant house spider are among the most prevalent spiders found in the Portland area. While relatively harmless, they often build their nests outside but come inside when the temperature starts dropping.
